Build on Zroarus
Zroarus is EVM-compatible. If you have built on Ethereum, you already know the tools. Start on Testnet, where test tokens are free and fees are effectively zero.
Quick start
- Step 1
Add the network
Chain ID 305583, RPC https://rpc.testnet.zroarus.com. Wallet setup
- Step 2
Fund a test wallet
Claim tZROAR for gas from the faucet(opens in a new tab). Use a wallet you only use for testing.
- Step 3
Compile for Cancun
Set
evmVersion: "cancun". Solidity 0.8.30+ defaults to Prague, which Testnet does not run. - Step 4
Deploy and inspect
Deploy with your usual tools, then look up the transaction on the explorer(opens in a new tab).
Your first contract with Foundry
Standard Foundry commands with the verified Testnet settings.
- Install Foundry from its official guide(opens in a new tab), then run
forge init my-first-zroarus-app. It creates a sampleCountercontract. - Replace
foundry.tomlwith the configuration shown here.evm_version = "cancun"is required. - Create a new wallet account used only for testing, and claim tZROAR from the faucet.
- Deploy. The key is read into your shell session only, never written to a file.
- Copy the transaction hash into the explorer search. Blocks are final after one block (about 2 seconds).
Keep keys out of your code
Never commit a private key, even a Testnet one, and never reuse a Testnet key on any other network. Nobody from Zroarus will ask for it.[profile.default]

Supported languages and tools
Confirmed on Testnet
- Solidity contracts compiled for the Cancun EVM
- Standard Ethereum JSON-RPC (ETH, NET, WEB3, TXPOOL) over HTTPS and WebSocket
- EIP-1559 (type 2) and legacy EIP-155 transactions
- Multicall3, Permit2 and the CREATE2 deployer at their canonical addresses
Documented configuration
Configuration for viem, ethers v6, Hardhat and Foundry is published above. These are standard EVM tools with no Zroarus-specific plugins.
Not available on Testnet
- EIP-7702 (type 4) transactions and other Prague features
- debug_* and trace_* RPC methods
- Price oracles and bridges
